Marrakech suite : around a canopy

A four-poster double bed, a mamouni wardrobe and a huge terrace

A four-poster double bed has been created especially for your rental riad, to match the dimensions of the Marrakech suite. It sits enthroned on a light brown and dark brown tadelakt background in the suite dedicated to the ocher and legendary city, which was the capital of Morocco shortly after the year one thousand.

Very nice sleeping system nordic style (fitted sheet, duvets and duvet covers, pillows and pillow covers). Additional duvets are available if needed in winter. Single mattress, with a summer side and a winter side. In summer, if necessary, request a mosquito net from the manager of your villa for rent.

The double-door cabinet allows you to store your belongings on a shelf and in a closet. The decor is mamouni style, which has the advantage of promoting natural ventilation, and whose name is the same as that of the prestigious hotel in Marrakech The Mamounia.

The French window of the Marrakech suite overlooks the Souss terrace. It is a huge area of 80 square meters, covered with tiles. For the sake of unity, we have chosen the same motifs as those surrounding the swimming pool and which pave the terraces of the rooms Agadir and Taroudant, on the second floor. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the garden.

The decor: a touch of magic

The decoration of the Marrakech suite begins in the staircase which leads to it fromthe kitchen. This staircase includes a library (see slideshow at the top of this page), remarkable lamps, including LEDs that discreetly illuminate the last five steps.

Inside the room, the atmosphere generated by half a dozen lamps of very diverse genres brings the touch of magic essential to any quality riad in Morocco. A sculpted entrance door, an ogival niche, seven representations of the Koutoubia of Marrakech in terracotta, a series of three openings covered with as many stained glass windows, an oriental rug representing the door to paradise, a double curtain closing the sleeping area contribute to the feeling of being in a comfortable setting.

The hallway leading to the bathroom is decorated with cabochons. A staircase leads to the room Taroudant. It is enhanced with dark red terracotta, typical of Morocco.
